Viewing and Editing the Zoom Transcript

The Audio Transcript, turned on by default, automatically transcribes the audio of a meeting that you record to the cloud. After this transcript is processed, it appears as a separate .vtt text file in the list of recorded sessions. Within the video itself, you have the option to display the transcript text itself.
The transcript is divided into sections, each with a timestamp that shows how far Zoom recorded the portion of the text into the recording. You can edit the text to capture the words more accurately or add capitalization and punctuation, which Zoom does not capture in the transcript.
You can search for text within the transcription and search for transcribed recordings that include the text you are searching for.
NOTE: This is not video editing software.
1. To access your recording, click the recording link in the email you received or navigate to the My Recordings page on the Zoom web portal and click the name of the recorded meeting.

2. To open your recording, click on the playback thumbnail, if available.

The text of the transcript is displayed on the right-hand side of the file.

3. To edit your transcript, navigate to the Audio Transcript panel on the right and click the pencil icon next to the phrase you want to edit.
You might have to pause the playback to accomplish editing the audio transcript.

4. Make any changes to the text, then click Save.

Continue editing the transcript with the same process.
The updated version of the text is displayed when you play the audio or video file.
