How to join a Zoom meeting - Canvas student

Students can save time and stay organized by accessing Zoom meetings directly through Canvas. As an Alamo Colleges student, you can join your instructor's Zoom meetings from the Course page. No more having to go through multiple tabs to join your next virtual lecture, so go ahead and sit back, relax, have a cup of coffee, and follow this guide to access Zoom through Canvas.

1. Begin by signing into Canvas and selecting the appropriate course.

2. Locate the Zoom link in the course navigation bar on the left side of the screen.

NOTE: The Zoom navigation item may not be at the bottom of the list, as your instructor may have put it elsewhere in the course navigation.

3. Click Zoom.

The Zoom dashboard will open inside your Canvas course, listing all meetings that have been scheduled.

1. Before joining a meeting, make sure to edit your Time Zone if it is not accurate (San Antonio is Central Time).
2. If you are ready to join the meeting, press Join.

Troubleshooting

Can't access Zoom? Make sure your instructor has enabled Zoom on Canvas.
