How to Enable Wi-Fi Calling On Your Device
Wi-Fi calling is a useful feature that allows you to make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network instead of relying solely on your cellular network. It can improve call quality, especially in areas with weak cellular coverage. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to enable Wi-Fi calling on both iPhone and Android devices.

Connect to Alamo Wi-Fi
In order to enable Wi-Fi calling on your device, first you must connect to Alamo Colleges wireless network.
1. To connect to Alamo Wi-Fi on your mobile device:
- Open Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Locate ALAMO_Guest.
- Enter your preferred email address to connect. Note: Alamo will never store or share your data, and your email will only be used to log you into the network.
Enable Wi-Fi calling for iPhone
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap on Phone.
- Select Wi-Fi Calling.
- Toggle the switch to enable Wi-Fi Calling.
- If applicable, follow the prompts to enter your emergency address information (required by some carriers).
- You can now make and receive calls using Wi-Fi on your iPhone.
Enable Wi-Fi calling for Android
- Go to the Settings menu on your Android device.
- Locate and tap on Connections.
- Choose Wi-Fi Calling.
- Toggle the switch to enable Wi-Fi Calling.
- You may be prompted to read and accept terms and conditions. If applicable, follow the prompts to enter your emergency address information (required by some carriers).
- Once enabled, your Android device is now ready for Wi-Fi Calling.
